What Are Lycium barbarum Polysaccharides and How Are They Related to the Health Benefits of Goji Juice?
Read this disclaimer first.
Lycium barbarum is actually the scientific name for the goji berry. Therefore, LBP's are the polysaccharides in the goji berry. It appears that the name "goji" was started as a simple marketing term in the English-speaking countries. The goji berry is also sometimes called wolfberry. Now that we know what they are, what are their health benefits? It appears that is of some controversy. Although, there have been various labratory studies conducted, some skeptics feel that these studies are not relevant because they did not include human subjects (although there was one study that did include human subjects). However, based on the clinical studies that have been performed, the goji berry appears to have many health benefit characteristics that could have a greater, future impact within the health industry itself. I am not a medical professional. I'm just your average wife, mother, small-business owner, excerise/running enthusiast, and nutrition conscious person that has had tremendous success with Freelife GoChi Juice. Therefore, I can only provide you with the studies and let you form your own opinion.
