My Family's Personal GoChi Story

Family's GoChi Story

This is my family in a picture that was taken in November, 2007. From left to right is myself, Kelly, Ryan who is 1, my husband, Ted, Eddie who is 3, and my daughter, Shayla who is 11.

I went from being a total skeptic to a firm believer in less than 30 days. Because GoChi has had such a powerful impact on me and my family's lives I wanted to share my personal story with you.

A friend, Nancy, told me about all the health benefits of Goji juice when Eddie was approximately one. It went in one ear and out the other. I knew there was no way that this juice could do everything it claimed to do and thought it was just another sham. Then a couple of years later, after Ryan was born, Ted brought home some goji berry juice from another company. About this time I was trying to increase my running distance to 13 miles. Well, I'm not sure if it was the increase of pavement running or the fact that I was 39, soon to be 40, but my knee started giving out on me. Not wanting to slow down or face the fact that I was getting older I ignored the situation. However, this goji juice claimed to help with joints, along with FreeLife's simular well-being effects. So Ted and I tried the juice for about 3 weeks. It did absolutely nothing for my stress level or anything else. In fact, my knee was getting so bad that I couldn't run 3 miles on the treadmill, and even after attempting to run at all, I wasn't able to walk the next day without limping. Because our health insurance plan was changing, I stopped running and was going to see an orthopedic surgeon (who is also my Father-in-Law) the following month.

Meanwhile, I mentioned my dilema to Nancy, who told me about the next generation of goji juice, GoChi. My first reaction was, "Here we go again same ole goji berry juice...". But, I took the information and started wondering what the difference was between the first juice I tried and the FreeLife GoChi juice. Being an auditor, I had to investigate. I noticed that FreeLife had scientific studies that had been published and I could easily read about, where the other juice had a disclaimer on their website that no studies were available. Then, I compared the contents of both bottles. The first ingredient listed for the first juice was purified water. The first ingredient listed on FreeLife's bottle was proprietary Himalayan Goji Juice from fresh whole Lycium barbarum fruit. Finally, FreeLife provided a specific timeline in which you could monitor any effects. So, still skeptical, I went ahead and ordered a case to try.

What happened is still amazing to me. Within the first week of taking 4 oz. per day, my moods and stress level seemed to have gone down a bit. I thought this was due to me knowing what the effects were "suppose" to be. But, I was getting my hopes up a little so I started my daughter, Shayla on the GoChi juice. She loved the taste and to this day always asks for more so, it wasn't hard to have her start drinking it each day. She had learning and focusing problems at school which make it difficult for her to complete simple tasks. After she started taking the GoChi juice, she was more calm and her ability to focus greatly improved. That is when I started the rest of the family, including my one-year old, drinking GoChi juice everyday.

By the end of the first month, I knew that GoChi was always going to be a part of our daily lives. I felt so relaxed, content, and happy. I am able to do two hours of cardio in the morning and work without fatigue during the rest of the day. But, most importantly, I was able to start running again without problems. In less than 6 weeks I went from not being able to run without experiencing knee discomfort to winning the first race (5 miles) that I ever entered!

Because of our experiences with the GoChi, I have become very passionate about FreeLife's Himalayan Goji juice. Now, I share their same mission in helping others lead healthier, happy lives.
