A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Clinical Study of the General Effects of a Standardized Lycium barbarum (Goji) Juice, GoChi
If you are a natural skeptic, like myself, you research any clinical study performed before you start a new health program, which could be how you ended up at my website. Because I had already been fooled by another "copy-cat" goji berry juice as stated in my
personal story
I felt compelled to throughly research GoChi. I really was doing more research to prove that this juice was the same as the "copy-cat" juice so I could justify not even trying it. However, as you know, my research turned out a little differently than I had expected. So, to save you the time that I spent researching, I'll provide you with the articles and links that I came across during this discovery process.
In 2008, The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine released, Vol. 14, No. 4, 2008. This clinical study was the first study reported from outside China that examined the general effect of the orally consumed goji berry. A summary of this study can be found online at
PubMed,
or you can receive a free copy of the
full published clinical study here.
You can find other abstracts of clinical studies that have been performed using Lycium barbarum by performing a search at the pubmed website above. I hope you find these studies to be as educational as I did!
